  1. Reviewed Minutes from last meeting.
    1. Staffing for next year: We will have four full day kindergarten classes, 4 first grade classes, 4 second grade classes, 4 Third grade classes, 3 Fourth grade classes, and 3 Fifth grade classes. Two teachers will be retiring this year.
  2. May 17, 2014 is Sandy Pride Day. Target will be sponsoring this event for our garden. It will start at 9:00 A.M. We will be cleaning up the campus and working in our school garden.
  3. School Carnival
    1. Coach Brian is on our staff and has a food truck business. He specializes in sweet and savory crepes. He will come and sell food at our carnival.
    2. Met Life will participate at our carnival with child identification cards.
    3. Custom Events are on hold because of the liability insurance coverage policies. We now have a legal document written up by an attorney, which allows the SCC to reimburse the PTA for insurance coverage that would allow Custom Events at our carnival.
      1. Motion to approve by Tasha; seconded by Jen Wright, and approved unanimously by council.
      2. Sandra will contact PTA for approval.
      3. Signed document will be kept and filed with SCC documents.
    4. E. Excel wants to help out this year with food. We would like them here from 12:00 - 2:00 to bring things out of the basement and for carnival set up. Then we would like them to return at 3:45-7:30 to sell and serve food. The gym will be available for carnival volunteers at 11:00.
    5. Gary Evans, who has taken care of the carnival music in the past, has asked for a generator this year. Natasha will see if she can get a generator, otherwise we would need to rent one.
    6. Roxanne Rawlings will possibly take care of poster walk and Lani Sharp’s husband will possibly take care of Bingo. We have a $50 from Harmons, $500 from Winco and donations from Texas Roadhouse and Little Caesars.
    7. We have decided to make a banner for our car show.
    8. It would be helpful if all our vendors would take tickets rather than cash.
    9. It would help with carnival clean up if students could bring their own bag for all their prizes and carnival items.
  4. We will be having a carnival meeting on May 8th. Carnival booths schedules, dunk tank schedules, and dance schedules should be completed by then.
  5. Motion to approve the minutes made by Allie, seconded by Beki, unanimously approved by Council.
