- Welcome and call meeting to order
- Approval of minutes from our last meeting- Reviewed and Approved
- Review current year’s LAND Trust plan, data, expenditures, and review if on course or if amendments are necessary. LAND Trust Plan reviewed with SCC. Sandy Elementary narrowed the goal down to focus on reading. Full plan located on Sandy Elementary website. Budget is more than previously thought (about $75,000). We are on track to spend that money appropriately. We have Fall benchmark scores- the scores look very promising. We are making typical growth.
- Receive School Safety report and Digital Citizenship report from district and begin discussion. We watched the new School Safety Plan video developed by Canyons District: ‘Run, Hide, Fight’ and discussed it as an SCC.
Digital Citizenship education is robust at Sandy Elementary. STEM teaches a strong curriculum. The D.C. coordinator sends out information regularly to Staff. Mr. Walker encouraged the SCC to review information available to us through the District website.
5. Discuss transferring money from Cell Tower funds to Principal Discretion budget (meals for faculty, treats, teacher appreciation, retirement parties, etc.)- Discussed by SCC and approved by all in attendance: Mr. Miller, Mr. Lefler, Jen Wright, Mallory Boggs, and Isa Connelly.
6. Discuss end-of-year carnival- We did a Carnival preview. We will discuss more next month.
