2. Updated Bylaws | Only change to Bylaws included changing the SCC member cap from 12 to 14. | Change Approved | ||
3. District Training | Follow-up and questions Back to School Night or Meet the Teacher Night change of day due to multiple parent meetings for parents of elementary, middle, and high schoolers. Concern will be discussed in BLT. | No follow up questions. Concerns were brought up about sleep time for high schoolers. This will need to be a part of a larger discussion. Christie will confer with a board member on next steps. | ||
4. Parent Engagement | Parent Engagement Policy and Parent Compact | Approved. | ||
5. Electronic Devices in Public Schools | Plan disseminated out to SCC members to review. A plan will be designed and discussed in November’s SCC meeting. | Plan Pending We will work on this plan next meeting. | ||
6. Carnival | Carnival concerns addressed. An informal survey will go out to Teachers for clarification on grumblings. It was proposed to give Teachers comp. time the Friday before the Carnival in an effort to make up for the 2 hour shift at Carnival. | Christie will develop a survey to get teacher input. | ||
