2022-23 End of Year Report

End-of-Year Report on Sandy Goals for 2022-2023 School Year

 

Our Sandy data shows there is much to celebrate!  Approximately 60% of our kindergarten and 1st grade students are reaching benchmark in reading and math.  Approximately 75% of our 2-5 students are either on benchmark or making at least a year of progress towards getting on benchmark in reading and math.  

 

Reading

    • By May 2023 75% of K-1 students will be on benchmark in reading as measured by Acadience Reading Composite scores.
  • 58% of K-1 students are on benchmark in reading as measured by Acadience Reading Composite scores.
    • By May 2023 80% of 2-5 students will be on benchmark or make typical or above typical progress in reading as measured by Acadience Pathways of Progress.
  • 75% of students are on benchmark or making typical or above typical progress in reading as measured by Acadience Pathways of Progress.

 

Math

    • By May 2023 75% of K-1 students will be on benchmark in math as measured by Acadience Math Composite scores.
  • 62% of students are on benchmark in math as measured by Acadience Math Composite scores.
    • By May 2023 80% of 2-5 students will be on benchmark or make typical or above typical progress in math as measured by Acadience Math Composite scores.
  • 74% of students are on benchmark or making typical or above typical progress in math as measured by Acadience Math Composite scores.

 

Climate

    • Office disciplinary referrals will decrease by 25% (no more than 392 ODR’s) by Spring of 2023. 
      • Office disciplinary referrals increased by 7%  for a total of 562 (for comparison, there were 524 office disciplinary referrals in ‘21-’22).
    • Increase in scholarly pride and achievement as seen by improving benchmark scores and student’s self reporting an increased self-identification with scholarly activities and abilities.
      • I am a good reader: increase of 3%
      • I am good at math: decrease of 5%
      • I like the challenge of learning new things in school: decrease of 8%
      • I am confident I can get my school work done: decrease of 9%
      • I try my best at school: decrease of 5%
      • My teacher believes that I can learn new things: decrease of 4%

 

Progress Over Time


Our goals and action plan for the ‘23-’24 school year are ideal for continuing the academic growth we are seeing as well as addressing our needs to decrease disruptive or aggressive behavior and increase a sense of scholarly pride and accomplishment among our students.
