- Welcome and call meeting to order: Meeting called to order. We also reviewed minutes from previous meeting and miutes were approved.
- Review School Safety Plan, Digital Citizenship and Safe Walking Routes plans – Due November 1: Canyons Digital Citizenship video was reviewed by SCC. Sandy Elementary Digital Safety Plan was reviewed by SCC. The school safety plan was also reviewed by SCC. There were no objections to both plans and motions to approve the plans were approved.
- Discuss and decide on use of funds to purchase T-shirts for faculty and staff: Funds to purchase staff T-shirts are pulled from Carnival overages from past years. There was no objection to the motion to utilize these funds to purchase staff T-shirts.
- Review Land Trust and TSSA plans for current year – Is spending on track? Are any amendments needed? We purpose that we hire 1-3 Instructional Support people. The goal would be to support/ encourage students to stay on task and become academically successful. No ammendments needed at this time because the purposal is within the bounds of the current plan already in place.
- School Safety and Security
- Safety Drill report for August/September: The evacuation drill was a success. The Safety Committee team met directly after the drill and discussed any changes that needed to be made to drill procedures.
- Make sure we are also adding our meetings in some other form of notice that is visible to the public (school calendar, front page of website…).
