COMMUNITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA

Agenda Items:

1. Welcome and call meeting to order 
2. Instate new members for the current year
   1. Verify information for all members present
   2. Elect chair and vice-chair (Mallory Boggs was elected as SCC Chair and Jason Smith was elected as Vice Chair. Responsibilities and expectations were explained.)
3. SCC By-Laws & SCC open meeting requirements
   1. Review (all meeting requirements and best practices were reviewed and clarified by Shawn.)
4. Review end-of-year data from May (School progress on goal accomplishments were reviewed.)
5. Review Land Trust and TSSA plans for current year (Plans for the 2022-23 school year were reviewed. We discussed the fewer resources for Math available to us this year but we are focused on the same instructional priorities. Teachers will focus on Number Talks and getting students to think on a deeper level. Climate goals for the 2022-23 school year will focus on scholarly performance. Goals surrounding PBIS, tier II school wide programs, and family engagement were discussed.)
6. Discuss Parent Compact feedback from the community (Reviewed the results gathered from parent feedback at BTS night.)
7. School Safety and Security (School is required to practice safety drills once every month.)
   1. Safety Drill report for August
      1. Fire Drill completed on 8/24/22
8. Set Meeting Dates (2nd Thursdays?)
   1. Present the specific dates (The SCC will meet every second Tuesday at 3:10 pm. The exact dates will be posted on the website and events calendar.)
